Before the rage of Achilles, before the walls of Troy were breached, there was a single golden apple — and a choice that doomed the ancient world.

The Cypria is the prelude to the greatest war in human mythology. Forged in heavy guitars, cinematic orchestration, and unrelenting rhythm, this 5-track EP chronicles the seductive trap of the gods, the blind arrogance of kings, and the tragic sacrifices made for the winds of war.

Learn more about the story that precedes Homer's "Iliad", and immerse yourself in this epic universe.

The Concept

"We are the scribes of ruin.

Welcome to the Age of the Ancients."

What if we could put down to heavy metal music the great epics of human kind? Not the shallow, twisted movie adaptations. Not the simplified versions, but music based on the actual literary works of the greats.

Age of the Ancients is an experimental heavy metal project dedicated to resurrecting the lost eras of human history.

The project is a hybrid synthesis of human composition and artificial intelligence, born from the intent to bridge the gap between the ancient world and the vanguard of modern technology. While some might spurn all AI-generated material, we believe the slop is the real issue to be avoided. That's why every song begins and ends with the human touch.

By combining organic, real-world instrumental performances and vocal arrangements with advanced generative audio engines, followed by meticulous post-production, Age of the Ancients creates massive, immersive soundscapes. AI therefore is used as it should: in the service of human endeavor, turning good ideas into riff-oriented reality.

At last, the journey begins in the Bronze Age collapse with the epic cycle of the Trojan War. Age of the Ancient's first release, The Cypria, recounts the events leading to the war, and immediately preceding Homer's "Iliad", the latter of which will be sung on our next release (already in the works).

This is only the beginning. Future chapters will traverse the timeline of history, making the great epics of history come to life in a punchy wall of sound.
